Lakai Carroll Select “Flannel Pack”

Lakai Carroll Select "Flannel Pack"

The weather’s officially chilly around here, and borderline freezing depending on where you are. So to match the flannels being pulled out of the closet, Lakai’s put out this Carroll Select “Flannel Pack.”

Donning the namesake flannel throughout, four colorways have been produced, all of which use black suede on the toe, toe caps and rear flaps and a white vulcanized sole. Orange, green, pink and yellow are all available. These are a Japan-only release though, so stateside skaters will have to import these to grab a pair.

éS “One”

éS "One"

Eric Koston’s been a journeyman of sorts with his selected footwear provider. éS, Lakai and most recently Nike SB have all used the legendary skateboarder as a spokesperson. But the one that started it all, the éS Koston 1, which Lakai remade when Eric rode for them, is back as an éS sneaker again. This time, it wears the “One” name.

We got a look at a tan sample pair of these sneakers, when details were sketchy as to its eventual release. Three color-ups (so far) are now expected to release in black, tan and two-tone grey colorways. The Koston name is gone, but the design remains the same, with the addition of G2 cushioning in the vulcanized sole. Suede and nubuck pair up with mesh on the uppers, with gum sole used for the black pair, and white for the other two.

Mita x Lakai Staple OG

Lakai

A couple of weeks ago, we showed you the “Where The Wilds Things Are” x Lakai Collection, and the majority of you did not take a liking towards it. However, Lakai has now hooked up with Mita to design two new colorways of the Staple OG model.

Both pairs come in a predominately black leather base with areas of suede appearing on the toe, midfoot and heel area. The pair shown to the right also features purple and yellow accents, while the remaining pair owns a gucci-like color scheme in regards to its red and green details. Both are now available at Mita’s online store. Click here to view detailed photos.

“Where The Wilds Things Are” x Lakai Collection

"Where The Wilds Things Are" x Lakai Collection

To celebrate the movie adaptation of one of the most popular children’s books of all time, Lakai has designed and released these two sneakers. One is a low top Pico and the other’s a Guy High.

The Pico uses black suede for the toe and heel portions, with orange leather as a liner. The mid-panel features a graphic print of the Wild Things’ eyes from the original book artwork. The Guy High uses the same print on the heel flap, while grey suede is used for the rest of the uppers. The liner is blue, as well as the tongue label surround. Both sit on a white vulcanized midsole.

Nike SB Dunk Low for Eric Koston

Nike SB Dunk Low for Eric KostonThe skateboarding legend has put out some classic silhouettes with both eS and Lakai, and with his move to the Swoosh, it’s only a matter of time before he churns out another. But for now, he’s taken to putting his touches on Nike SB’s bread-and-butter Dunk Low.

Using an all blue upper, with minimal accents, this Dunk gives off a patriotic feel, using a silver Swoosh for good measure. Red is used on the Swoosh surround, midsole stitching and again on the liner. SB has heard the cry for more gum soles, as a translucent outsole is used here. It may not be a signature model just yet, but for now, this will have to do.

Stay tuned for more details, and click ahead to weigh in on these, especially compared to the Lakai Koston Hi.

Lakai “Leisure Lean” Collection

Lakai "Leisure Lean" CollectionLakai has a history of producing some purpose-built skate sneaks, but the “Leisure Lean” Collection for Fall 2009 is designed to prove that the brand is capable of much more than just that.

Using premium materials, two pairs are tossed in, the Codi Hi and Manchester Select, and mixed up in a total of four colors. The Manchester Select low-top comes in black and grey suede, with matching leather accents and logos. The Codi Hi is coming in dark brown and royal blue, which seems to be the odd-shoe-out in this group of natural colorways. Look for these soon as select Lakai retailers.
