High-top sneakers have definitely been the fad for 2009; you can thank the Nike Air Yeezy for all of this hight-top hoopla. With that said, check out what Android Homme has in store for the holiday season.

LA-based Android Homme will unleash two colorways of its Propulsion Hi model during the holiday season. The Propulsion Hi features a base made of suede and abundance of patent leather. Other features  include a lace strap, an ankle strap and white details in the form of the shoelaces and sole. One pair comes in an all-grey, while the other pair features an mainly turquoise upper. We previewed this event last week, and last night in Patchogoue, NY Wale graced the Sneaker Bistro with his presence. The lineup was fierce as hundreds of avid fans of Mr. Folarin were anxious to hear his tunes, and see his kicks.

Wale was in Strong Island last night to promote his album Attention Deficit which drops today. Each fan that stopped by got a copy of the album, and a chance to Meet Wale and compare kicks. Wale is known throughout the sneaker community for procuring kicks months before their general release. His other calling card is his his proclivity for foamposites, and thus it only seems right that the event took place at Long Island hotspot Sneaker Bistro.

The retro-look Jordan Flight 45 has elicited some mix reactions from readers, who have compared it to the Nike Air Yeezy and Reebok Ex-O Fit. But with trends continuing to support high-top silhouettes, Jordan has moved forward with this white and red colorway.

Obviously this pair has more color than the last we saw, which were done with an all black nubuck construction. A small bit of grey on the AJIII midsole breaks up the red, white and black on these. White leather makes up the majority of the upper, while plastic straps and red accents work on the heel and mid-panel. Black is also used throughout, including the upper and liner. “45″ and “Flight” appear on the heel tab and toe, respectively, in Braille perforation.
