You didn’t think that Reebok was only going to allow retailers to collaborate on their prized The Pump silhouette did you? With the release of those special Pump 20 collaborations looming, we get a look at another Reebok sneaker designed by Japan’s X-LARGE.

These Pump Omni Lite feature a mix of black and white, with a few panels that feature both colors. The forefoot and midfoot are done up with white leather, white the heel area uses black nubuck and leather. “XL” and “Reebok” both appear in different shades of blue embroidery. The most unique feature on these is, without a doubt, the gradient plastic lace holders darting up the sides, which fade black and white together.

These are available online now. How do these compare to other Pump collaborations we’ve seen for this year?

The Nike Hyperize has seen plenty play since its initial release. Who knows if it was the White Men Can’t Jump colorways or the Nike “Don’t Criticize, Hyperize” campaign but, regardless, the Hyperize is currently omnipresent on basketball courts. Whether it be PEs in the NBA, Team colorways in college and high school, or GRs on street courts, everybody is Hyperizin’, not criticizin’.

Nike had Takehiko Inoue of Slam Dunk contribute to the Hyperize collection by adding his own flow to the silhouette. The sneaker sports a white and powder blue colorway. White leather frames the flywire paneling inserted into the upper. On top of this leather are Manga illustrations inscribed with 3M.

Unfortunately, this illustrious sneaker is an Asia-exclusive.

All three pairs are dressed up in black leather, with hits of cross-woven material on the tongues and liners of the Court Victory and Omni Lite. The Insta Pump Fury, which is definitely the lesser known Pump in this pack and Reebok’s line, uses a mix of matte finished materials and the leather found on the other two. On the toe box we see leather with perforation that looks like it’s punched with perpendicular hole shapes, a la metal diamond plate. As you recall, this year and the next are huge for the Pump, as they’re celebrating the 20th anniversary of its original release.

Since this is the 20th anniversary of the ‘Pump’, we have seen a plethora of them lately including the Pump Court Victory 2 Pack, Bodega x Reebok Pump “Outback”, Solebox x Reebok Pump and the Colette x Reebok Pump. While most of those are collaborations, we have spotted a general release Omni Pump at select retailers including Sneaker Bistro.

This Omni Pump features a very interesting color scheme to say the least. It owns a red and black checkerboard-like, plaid base covered by an army green patent leather overlay. The shoelaces are also done up in army green. To finish it off, this Omni Pump is complimented with a white midsole and a black and red outsole. Click here to view additional photos.
