Nike Air Max 95

With over 150 colorways in existence, the Air Max 95 is considered by many to be the greatest Nike shoe ever because it took running footwear to another level and was ahead of its time in terms of construction, aesthetics, and performance. The shoe was tremendously successful not only because it attracted sneaker fanatics and running enthusiasts, but also because it was insanely popular with the general public. With minimal branding on the shoe, limited to a small Swoosh on the back ankle panel, the shoe itself stood out as a lesson in timeless design. Inspired by the human body, the uppers consisted of graduated suede panels, 3M Scotchlite, and nylon mesh. The Air Max 95 featured colored Visible Air Units on the heel with PSI pressure readings on them and also had colored Visible Air Units on the front of the shoe, which was a first for any Air Max shoe. The shoe also included a molded tongue with 3M accents surrounded by a speed-lacing system that used high-density mesh eyelets. Also on the tongue was the new signature “Air Max” logo that was also featured on their own specially designed box. The Black/Neon Yellow/White colorway, also known as the “Neons” has been re-issued several times and still remains a favorite of sneaker fans worldwide. Other popular models include the “Chilis”, “Fresh Waters”, and “Safety Oranges”. A zip-up version, the Air Max 95Z, was released, but was pretty much dead on arrival.
