Nike Air Max 97

Originally rumored to be called the “Air Total Max 3″, the Air Max 97 was a stunning shoe with its futuristic design taking inspirations from the high-speed Japanese Bullet trains.  The original colorway featured a metallic silver mesh on the uppers with an overlay of a set of three 3M lines that gave the shoe a space-age feel.  The shoe was also a testament to Nike Air technology by incorporating a full-length Visible Air Unit engineered for maximum heel-to-toe impact protection.  Since 1997, the Air Max 97 has been re-issued several times in different colorways and still remains a popular shoe in the Air Max series.
