Parra, Amsterdam-based artist extraordinaire, first worked with Nike back in 2005 creating one of the most iconic Nike Air Max 1s of all-time — the “Amsterdam.” They teamed up again in 2009 for the 5th anniversary “Purple Denim” pair that’s probably even more limited than the first. The “Cherrywood” would release a year later in 2010, a collaboration between both Nike and Patta.
Now, following an eight year hiatus, Parra is working with Nike again on a budding Air Max 1 design. Juxtaposing horizontal and vertical stripes with polka dots all seen through vibrant hues, a multicolored outsole corresponds with the hues represented throughout the upper. Parra branding marks the midfoot of this wildly varied design that comes 13 years after Parra first partnered with Nike.
No release details for the Parra x Nike Air Max 1 are readily available. Stay tuned for more.
