PUMA currently sits comfortably in the most advantageous position in recent brand history. Following stellar releases that include the timely and chunky Thunder Spectra, coupled alongside the retro yet contemporary RS-0, it all came together earlier this summer when the company announced it was returning to basketball with PUMA Hoops.
All things are angled upwards for the German-based sportswear company. That includes a push from the recently released PUMA Hybrid Rocket.
Sleek and lightweight with all the markings of an inventive triumph, the Hybrid Rocket smartly combines two of the company’s most noteworthy cushioning systems — Ignite Foam and NRGY beads. Each of these innovative properties aid in greater energy return and comfort for faster, longer runs.
Ignite Foam, one could say, is PUMA’s answer to adidas Boost or Nike React foam. Taking on a similar form and texture, its greatest compliment to performance comes in the energy return it brings to each step and stride. Whereas NRGY beads serve to support heightened cushioning from heel to toe.
Working in tandem with an evoKNIT upper which gives the budding silhouette a sock-like fit and feel, PUMA’s Hybrid Rocket not only aims to forcefully cement itself as a towering performance runner, but as a measure of consistency for the brand that’s on an uptick in cultural currency.
The PUMA Hybrid Rocket is available now for $120 at PUMA.com and select retailers.
