Nike Zoom Kobe 4

Nike Zoom Kobe 4 Reigning MVP winner Kobe Bryant will be dropping his fourth signature sneaker, the Nike Zoom Kobe 4, on January 17th, 2009.

Possessing some very unique qualities, this sneaker does not look like a typical basketball sneaker. Wrapped in a Los Angeles Lakers colorway, this sneaker features a black leather upper with purple and yellow accents on the swoosh, shoelaces, and heel. Another interesting feature is the translucent midsole and the black reptile print found on the toe box and heel area. The words “Carpe Diem”, which means ’seize the day’ in Latin, is imprinted, in gold, on the tongue of the shoe. A white version is expected to drop later in 2009.

While we have yet to see Kobe hoop in these this season, check out the Nike Hyperdunk/Kobe 4 hybrid he has been wearing as of late.

Update:  Nike and Kobe have officially unveiled the Nike Zoom Kobe IV.

Converse Wade 4

Converse Wade 4Basketball season is a skip, hop, and a jump away; therefore, many superstar players will be seen with their latest signature sneaker on the court. Converse releases the Dwayne Wade 4 a week after dropping the Converse Wade Team Signature Sneaker.

Inspired by the Miami Heat colorway, these sneakers feature a black and red speckle-patterned midsole. The upper is made of synthetic leather and mesh providing the wearer with lightweight breathability.

On another note, we must thank Dwayne Wade for taking over the game in 2008 Gold Medal Championship this past Summer. With Kobe Bryant and Lebron James getting into early foul trouble, ‘Flash’ stepped up and led the way with 27 points. Without him, the ‘Redeem Team’ would have probably had to wait till 2012 for redemption. Hopefully, he can carry that superb play over to this season and get some much-needed help from Beasley.

You can snag these sneakers at Converse for $89.99.

Nike Zoom Kobe 4

Kobe 4Kobe’s fourth signature shoe will make its debut in stores January 2009. Designed in a low-cut style, this shoe is far from the norm of Nike signature shoes for superstar basketball players.

The Kobe IV was created upon Mr. Bryant’s request for a low-cut shoe that could prevent himself from losing seconds in reaction time. This sneaker is equipped with special technology in the form of Flywire, Lunar Foam, and Zoom Air.

Seven colorways have surface on the web, so click the jump to see every pair. These kicks will retail for $120 in January. I understand the reaction time request, but did he forget about the appearance of the shoe? Come on Kobe!

He also showcased his brand new Converse Wade 4 for the first time for all to gaze at around the world - kind of.  While Wade had the 4th edition of the Converse Wade series, he wore them only in pre-game warm-ups in Beijing.

This is the first colorway dropping for the Miami Heat guard this season in the Black/Red/White to match his uniform. The shoe has ventilation shafts to lessen the humidity during game play and a speckled midsole. These will be releasing late October.  Thanks to Kenlu.net for the preview.
