Release Reminder: Jordan 60+ “Cavs” + “Celtics”

So far, Jordan Brand has released the 60+ model in black/red-white, “Laney High School”, the “Detroit Pistons” and the “Atlanta Hawks”. The latter two mentioned are represented by the teams MJ scored 60 points on more on. To continue this theme, JB will unleash the “Celtics” and “Cavs” colorways this Saturday, November 7th, 2009 at your local Jordan retailers.

The “Celtics” Jordan 60+ possesses a mainly white leather upper with multiple black and green accents throughout the base. On the other hand, the “Cavs” 60+ owns a light grey base combined with ceramic and navy accents. Many of you have surprisingly been pleased with the Jordan 60+ model this year. Likewise, the colorways have been well-received as well. With that said, which colorway will you be going after tomorrow: the “Celtics” or the “Cavs”? You can find both colorways now at select retailers, namely Politics.

Air Jordan 1 Metallic Gold & Navy

Air Jordan 1 Metallic Gold

Jordan Brand has taken a lot of flack from enthusiasts for the overwhelming amount of AJ1s releasing in the last year or so. And while the 1 may be the Jordan Dunk these days, a lot of the new colorways are different from other sneakers we’ve seen, including these navy and gold metallic colorways.

Available now, both of these Air Jordan 1s rely on their material and color choice for their designs, as they maintain single-shade uppers. The metallic gold pair is actually reflective, broken up with grey laces and a grey tongue label, while white is used for the liner and midsole. For the navy blue pair, the patent leather contains a metallic flake you can see when you look super close. The liner is a slightly lighter shade of blue, while the midsole breaks up the blue.

Air Jordan XIV “MJ Motorsports”

Air Jordan XIV "MJ Motorsports"

After seeing yesterday’s in-depth look at the Air Jordan 6 Rings “MJ Motorsports,” and the AJ6 Retro “MJ Motorsports” just before that, it’s no surprise that demand for more information is at its peak. And with that being said, we present you with this Air Jordan XIV “MJ Motorsports” unreleased sample.

If these were to ever release, they would definitely make our “All Black Everything” Buyer’s Guide from yesterday, as they’re draped in black suede and sit on an all black mid- and outsole. Overall, these are very similar to a black upper version of the AJXIV Light, thanks to the material choice. On the inner side we can really see what makes these “Motorsports” PEs, as the circled 23 and Jumpman logos appear. If you recall from the above post on the 6s and 6 Rings, these circular logos are modeled after te number plate and logos on the team motorcycles.

Jordan 6 Rings “Motorsports” Detailed Look

Air Jordan 6 Rings "MJ Motorsports" Closer Look

Yesterday we got a look at the Air Jordan 6 Retro and 6 Rings “Motorsports,” which are both “Friends and Family” limited editions for the Michael Jordan Motorsports motorcycle racing team. We also learned that this round of “Motorsports” Jordans was designed to emulate the current paint job on the #23 bike.

The XX3 “Motorsports” owned a color scheme based on one of the team’s bike’s dark blue paint at the time. This 6 Rings, though, uses a white and black colorway. The liner is made up on white and black elephant print like we’ve seen so many times before on Jordans. White leather composes the the upper while black is used for entirety of the sole. As you can see, the bike also sports the same colorway and print along the gas tank. the differentiating tongues are back also, matching the number plate and Jumpman logo. How do these compare to the above XX3’s and the AJ 4 Retros “Motorsports”?

Air Jordan “Motorsports” Pack

Air Jordan Motorsports Pack

If you recall, we informed you of an upcoming Air Jordan “Motorsports” back in March and many of you stated that you were really looking forward to it releasing. As months went by, it became evident that this pack would not release. However, we now have detailed photos of this pack that will never release (this will probably aggravate you).

This “Motorsports” Pack consists of a Jordan 6 Rings and an Air Jordan 6 Retro. To coincide with bike’s new paint job, Jordan Brand designed both models in a simple yet stylish white/black color scheme. The Air Jordan 6 Retro was shown to you back in March, yet, the 6 Rings was kept under wraps. Both pairs were given to MJ’s Motorsports team and some of his close friends. If this pack were to ever surface, would this be a definite purchase for you? Click here to view detailed photos.

Dwyane Wade - The Interview

Dwyane Wade - The Interview

The NBA season is under way, and your favorite ballers are out in full force. Young stars like Kevin Durant are trying to get to the next level, while seasoned veterans like Kobe Bryant are trying to get to their next championship. With all these players sporting their own signature models, it’s rare that we hear about the endorsement process before a brand signs a new star.

Jordan Brand has launched “The Interview,” which covers Dwyane Wade’s “interview” with JB about his motivations, love of Jordan sneakers and what his shoes smell like. Obviously, the interview isn’t real, but it’s just a fun approach to introducing Wade as the newest member of the team, and the mini-site is worth checking out.

We learned about Wade’s plans for this season with JB, including which shoes he will sport this season, and we’ve actually already seen him wear them. With this look back at the “past,” it raises the question, “How big will the Wade-JB connection get in the future?”
