Kicks On Court: LeBron Showcases ‘Big Apple’ - November 26th, 2008

LeBron James played in the ‘Big Apple’ last night…literally. For the first time this season, James and the Cavs traveled to New York to take on the Knicks. While most of the attention centered around LeBron James 2010 free agent plans, his special edition Nike Zoom LeBron 6 ‘Big Apple’ sneakers raised just as many eyebrows (Even Spike Lee had a pair on!). Although we have seen many colorways of the Nike Zoom LeBron 6 including the LeBron Family Pack, this particular colorway will arguably go down as one of King James best sneakers to date.

LBJ fans can purchase these in New York City on Friday, November 28. The shoe will be available for $140 at select retailers such as Alife Rivington Club, Niketown, and House of Hoops NY.

Tomorrow, November 25th, 2008, LeBron James and the Cavs travel to New York to face the Knicks for the first time this year. King James conquered the Knicks last March when he came to the Garden and put up 50 points, 10 assists, 8 rebounds while wearing the NY themed Nike Zoom LeBron 5 “Yankees”.

In tomorrow’s game, LeBron will take the court in this exclusive colorway of his latest sneaker called the Nike Zoom LeBron 6 “Big Apple”. Obviously, the colorway receives its inspiration from New York City’s nickname. The upper is covered in “candy apple” red perforated leather and patent leather accents. This sneaker is complimented with a uniquely speckled midsole as well.
