Air Jordan 1 Hi Doernbecher Freestyle “Mr.Boober”
Posted by vulkan | Sep 21, 2008 Doernbecher Children’s Hospital has been working with Nike every year to help raise money to fund research and basic operations. Every year as you all know five shoes from the Doernbacher series drop and the money from those sales are contributed to the hospital. These were designed by Tony Taylor Jr., nicknamed Mr. Boober, who battled Nephrotic Syndrome and underwent a successful kidney transplant at the hospital.
Jayson Mayden and Estelle Maranan guided Tony with his vision of the project and the inspirations took inspiration from the very experiences of his life. These are the second Air Jordans to be part of the Doernbecher Freestyle project. Last year we saw the Doernbecher Air Jordan 2. This shoe will release November 14th along with four other Doernbecher children designed shoes. Thanks to SoleCollector for the pictures and story. |
