DC Life Sector 7 WT & Admiral Hi WT

DC Life Sector 7 WT & Admiral WT

DC has deep roots in the skate and alternative sports community, thanks to their history of creating very skateable products. Having daredevils like Travis Pastrana pull stunts in your name doesn’t hurt either. With the Life label, DC’s appeal has spread to the masses, thanks in part to the Sector 7 and Admiral Hi silhouettes.

This most recent release of each design takes inspiration from the street (literally) by using a cement colorway. The low-top Sector 7 maintains a wingtip look with perforation and small accents. The Admiral Hi uses matching grey mesh near the ankle to break up the material monotony. Both pairs are grey suede, with accents from DC’s “Pill” pattern. Both are available now online.

Travis Pastrana’s DC Shoes Bike

Travis Pastrana's DC Shoes Bike

DC Shoes’ resident expert on motocross, skydiving and all around shenanigans added a new meaning to “burning rubber” lately, as he had his dirtbike rigged in a very special fashion. Both wheels of his bike were given special one-off wheels treaded with DC Shoes, making up for the lack of regular tires.

In the video after the jump, you can see the process by which these are made, and watch Pastrana give these the ultimate torture test. The stunt was designed and filmed for MTV’s Nitro Circus and also a DC ad running now. Travis proclaims that DCs are “the only shoe [he rides],” but it’s fair to say that even he didn’t fully understand how true that statement could prove to be.

Hotel on Rivington x DC Admiral Sport

DC Admiral

This past summer, DC released a red Admiral as a joint effort with the help of Hotel on Rivington. Upon seeing the first photos, the comment section was filled with both positive and negative remarks on the collaboration. Now, Hotel on Rivington and DC are set to release their second collaboration design on the same model next year.

First off, this is Hotel on Rivington and DC’s second Admiral together; however, it is their fourth collaboration overall. This particular pair owns a predominately black premium leather base combined with an off-white, vintage-like sole. The latter area also features the words, Hotel on Rivington. DC x Kendo Double Label Retailer Project: Spruce Kendo

DC x Kendo Double Label Retailer Project The Spruce Kendo

Lately, DC has been involved in some nice collaborations, namely the DC x Lemar and Dauley Xander. However, we have now spotted a more meaningful collaboration involving women’s sneaker retailer Kendo; the product of this joint effort is dubbed the Spruce Kendo.

First off, this Spruce Kendo will be the first women’s sneaker in DC’s Double Label Retailer Project. As for the design, this particular shoe owns some unique characteristics. For example, it contains different reptile skins that have been applied using a lenticular method. This technique gives the sneaker and ever-changing look. The colorway owns shades of copper colors, tan, gold and red. To finish it off, the Kendo logo appears on the heel and insole. The Spruce Kendo will be available on April 1st, 2009 at kendo-la and store.dcshoes. It will also be available at DC retail locations in Los Angeles and Soho.

DC PJ S LX Lineup

DC PJ Ladd Pro Model LineupAs part of DC’s Spring 2009 Lineup, Boston skate legend PJ Ladd and DC have collaborated to create Ladd’s first signature pro model dubbed the DC PJ S LX. (looks like a bunch of letters, right?).

To say the least, this sneaker seems to be rich in material and texture on this camel brown-colored upper. The most interesting feature is the quilted leather toe box, side panels and ankle area of the sneaker. It also contains a visible air unit and a rarely seen cream midsole. Gold accents also appear on the upper in the form of the DC logos on the side panel and tongue.

This particular colorway, along with a black colorway and a metallic gold one, will hit your nearest skate-shop retailers soon. More detailed photos after the jump. Via DC / CtotheJL.
