MACKDADDY x FILA Mack Squad

FILA

We have spotted FILA involved in a couple of collaborations this year including the A.R.C. x FILA Fiamma Collection and the Classic Kicks x Fila Tennis. In addition, they have now joined efforts with  MACKDADDY to design this head-turning Mack Squad model.

It simply possesses a 100% blue-colored base comprised of a predominately patent leather texture. It also owns blue fur-like attributes throughout the side panels. To finish it off, this Mack Daddy is complimented with a monochromatic sole and shoelaces. If you are interested in this Mack Squad, you can pick a pair up now at MACKDADDY’s online store.

ALIFE Rivington Club x Fila Sneak Peek

ALIFE Rivington Club x Fila Sneak Peek

ALIFE’s Rivington Club has turned out a number of fresh collabs. Most recently we saw them team up with Nike on some “crispy” Air Force 1’s, and not long before that it was New Balance that lent their 1300 silhouette to the creative minds at ALIFE.

Today we have word the team at ARC is at it again with an ALIFE Rivington Club x Fila collaboration that will be dropping in June. With just a sneak peek, it is hard to say much about the release, but we can see there are three colorways tagged with ARC graphics throughout the low cut sneakers. Yellow, black and grey colorways should give everybody a nice choice for these early summer releases.

Fila Ninety6 Phoenix Suns Colorway

Fila Ninety6 Grey/Purple/OrangeGrant Hill and Penny Hardaway have shared similar career paths in the form of both basketball and sneakers, some of the hottest signature shoes and plague of injuries, constantly sending them to the injured list. With the recent Miami Heat colorway of the Air Penny 2, that left us hoping for colorways of other stops in his career, it seems Fila read our minds.

The Fila Ninety6 Phoenix Suns Colorway comes in a grey upper with purple and orange accent colors, surprisingly close to Hill’s current team, the Phoenix Suns. We know Fila probably can’t lure Grant away from his Nike contract, but bringing back the classic retro in his latest team’s colorway is definitely a valiant effort.

Reed Space x Fila Ninety6

Reed Space x Fila Ninety6Jeff Staple, creator of the notorious Pigeon Dunks, and founder of Reed Space, has teamed up with Fila on the Ninety6 to create new colorways of the sneaker formerly known as the Grant Hill 2, the Reed Space x Fila Ninety6.

New colorways include a Reed Space hometown favorite, the New York Knicks colorway featuring white, orange and blue. The classic white, navy and red colorway will be available with Reed Space touches. Last but not least, the flashiest of all is the CMYK color separation version. Reed Space chair logo on the heel, and branding on the heel and tongue set these apart from the standard issue Fila Ninety6. A matching backpack will also be released, but no word on a release date yet.

Fila Ninety6 “Grant Hill 2″

Fila Ninety6 Grant Hill 2The Fila Ninety6 “Grant Hill 2″ has arrived at Finishline. Now that Grant Hill is with Nike, Fila has decided on the name the Ninety6, as in the year the originals released.

The Fila Ninety6 was one of the biggest reasons, if not the reason that Fila has been able to survive as a company. For a lot of us b-ball cats, these were one of the shoes that made us think outside the Swoosh for the first time. Grant Hill, and the Ninety6, had a following like no other, even the late great Tupac was seen sportin’ these kicks in his All Eyez On Me album insert.

Check the photos after the jump, including the famous 2Pac photo. [Click Here] to get them at Finishline for $89.99.

Thanks to DailyDrop for the heads up.
