Gucci High Top Sneakers
Posted by Matt Halfhill | Jul 8, 2009Luxury sneakers usually aren’t our thing, but the Yeezy clearly showed us that there are plenty of people willing to spend exorbitant amounts of cash for kicks even in a recession. Gucci’s colors get bit by sneaker companies about as much as Jordan’s elephant print by startup streetwear labels, but sometimes there is nothing like the genuine product. This fall, Gucci is introducing a high top sneaker that come in high grain leather with the classic Green-Red-Green stripe across the side of the sneaker. Other touches include an oversized metal eyelet that give the shoe a boating feel.
Ready to know the damage? Let’s just say they are a few hundred off the Kanye West Louis Vuitton sneakers, but they will still set you back $535.
Nike SB Dunk High “Gucci”
Posted by Nick Engvall | Jun 16, 2009
Earlier this year we gave you word that the Gucci Dunk was returning. In addition to giving you a look at one of the samples, we also have a comparison to the extremely limited 2005 version. The Nike SB Dunk High “Gucci” features a the classic “Gucci” green and red color combo, combined with a partially denim upper. For this 2009 version that will be dropping in the fall, the denim has been cleaned up slightly. The other noticeable difference is that the heel tab has been switched from red to green. What do you think of these? Will you pick them up or pass? Click here to let us know what you think. |
Crooks & Castles x Vans Fremont “Gucci”
Posted by Nick Engvall | Dec 8, 2008 You got a look at some “Gucci” inspired kicks last month from both Adidas and Nike. This month we got a preview for an upcoming collab between Vans and Crooks & Castles.
The Crooks & Castles x Vans Fremont “Gucci” comes in your choice of black or white, both feature “Gucci” inspired accent colors in the form of green/red/green ankle straps. The white comes in a perforated leather and croc-skin, while the black is similar but gets a touch of patent leather as well. These are scheduled to drop in Spring of 2009 at the Crooks & Castles flagship store in Los Angeles. Do these “go hard” or “trying to hard?” Photos of both colorways after the jump via KicksonFire. |
Nike Air Force 2 - ‘Gucci’ Inspired
Posted by George Kiel III | Nov 20, 2008|
Recently, The Nike Air Force 2 has been spotted in some distinct colorways and themes, namely the Nike Air Force 2 - “Nintendo Wiiâ€. We have now found a Gucci-inspired Nike Air Force 2 over at Colmilludo. Similar to the original Nike Air Force 1 Black/Black, this particular sneaker features a mixture of black leathers on the upper. The Gucci theme is evident by the most-recognized red and green Gucci stripes on the heel strap. High-end- designer sneakers are nothing new to the sneaker world; however, this subtle sneaker is nothing like the Louis Vuitton, Burberry, and Gucci-print sneaker craze we all witnessed a couple years ago. Check out more detailed pics after the jump. |
