IPath footwear has teamed up with NJ Skateshop for this limited edition Fred Gall sneaker for October.

The colorway came straight from the NJ Transit system, using fuschia, tan, teal and orange. A special “NJ” logo appears near the heel, as well. The all-canvas construction uses a strap at the ankle for extra support when you’re skating, or just for style if you’re not one to shred.

This a definitely a break from the traditional basketball and lifestyle shoes we cover, but the rise in the popularity for skate shoes is undeniable. Are these something only Garden State skaters should support, or can get behind these?

Being one of the first sneaker brands to introduce a mid-cut to the skate world, IPATH has been a staple in the sneaker game since 1999. Earlier this year, we previewed the entire IPATH Footwear Spring Lineup. Three months later, we have a first look at the IPATH Fall 2009 Lineup.

Similar to the aforementioned Spring Lineup, IPATH’s Fall 2009 collection includes sneakers using hemp and organic cotton textures. Original IPATH models such as the Grasshopper, the Locust and the Cats, have all been revamped for more of a throwback classic style. However, 2009 models such as the Nu and the 009 have also received a nice design as well. A couple of sneakers in the lineup seem to be inspired by the Jamaican heritage.
