Jordan CP3.III White/Black-Varsity Red

Jordan CP3.III White/Black-Varsity Red

The CP3.III has jumped on to the scene in a matter of days it seems, escalating from leaked samples to a video capture to the release-ready black/orion blue. The momentum is keeping going with this next colorway, which will release the same day as the previous pair–Jan 2, 2010.

Like the others, these feature a speckle-finished white and black midsole, which sitt on a red outsole. White leather is used for the upper, with laser-etching in the mid-panel. Patent leather is used on the lower mudguard portion. Chris Paul’s CP3 logo appears in red on the tongue, completing the colorway, while a black Jumpman logo appears on the heel.

Having seen the Air Jordan 2010 just last night, how do these compare?

Jordan Flight 45 High White/Red

Jordan Flight 45 High White/Red

The retro-look Jordan Flight 45 has elicited some mix reactions from readers, who have compared it to the Nike Air Yeezy and Reebok Ex-O Fit. But with trends continuing to support high-top silhouettes, Jordan has moved forward with this white and red colorway.

Obviously this pair has more color than the last we saw, which were done with an all black nubuck construction. A small bit of grey on the AJIII midsole breaks up the red, white and black on these. White leather makes up the majority of the upper, while plastic straps and red accents work on the heel and mid-panel. Black is also used throughout, including the upper and liner. “45″ and “Flight” appear on the heel tab and toe, respectively, in Braille perforation.

Jordan Blasé Mid

Jordan Blase Mid

It may be a few days late to make our “All Black Everything” Buyer’s Guide, but this Blasé Mid is next up in Jordan’s non-performance lineup of sneakers. Then again, this colorway may not have made it, if only for the slight red accents throughout.

The toe area and heel section are both dressed in premium black leather, while the mid-panel is done with a woven textile. The tongue and strap are both dressed in matching leather, as well. Red is used on the lace eyelets, tongue Jumpman logo and the stitching on the all-black sole. These are available now at select retailers.

Marcus Jordan’s Jordans Cost UCF adidas Contract

adidas has responded to the controversy surrounding Marcus Jordan’s decision to only wear Jordan Brand on the hardwood by cutting ties with the University of Central Florida short. The contract, which is in its final year of a five-year deal, will be preemptively ended following Marcus’ choice to wear the AJ12 “Rising Sun” in an exhibition win last night.

According to ESPN and the AP, “‘The University of Central Florida has chosen not to deliver on their contractual commitment to adidas,’ adidas spokeswoman Andrea Corso wrote in an e-mail to The Associated Press. ‘As a result we have chosen not to continue our relationship with them moving forward.’”

We covered the Marcus Jordan controversy in-depth recently, but it looks like adidas has finally drawn the issue to a close. Is this what you expected to see go down in Florida? Consider that Marcus made it clear he intended to wear Jordans to honor his family name when being recruited and was assured it would not be a issue.

Debate Continues Over Marcus Jordan’s Shoes

Marcus Jordan Debate

We have shown you multiple Marcus Jordan PEs within the past couple of years in which many of you have positively commented on to say the least (see Air Jordan 9 & 10 PE). While there is no debate that these may be some of the nicest PEs seen to date, an argument continues to materialize over whether or not Marcus Jordan will be able to wear Jordan’s at all this basketball season.

The University of Central Florida, Marcus Jordan’s current school, have a contract with Adidas; however, Marcus Jordan has obviously wore Jordan sneakers most, if not all of his life. It has been stated that Marcus will honor UCF’s contract with Adidas by wearing the Adidas apparel; yet, he will not partake in wearing Adidas sneakers on the court.

UCF athletic director Keith Tribble stated that Marcus has the right to choose for himself seeing that a previous instance occurred with a football player deciding to wear a different brand sneaker due to the fit. On the contrary, adidas spokesperson Andrea Corso has confirmed that adidas and UCF have no agreement on the table at press time.

With that said, do you think Marcus Jordan should be able to wear Jordan sneakers or do you feel that he has to respect the school’s contract with adidas totally? Click here to voice your opinion.
