Starting on April 2nd, the NBA will hold its first ever “Green Week” to celebrate, T-Pain will be screamin’ Got Money and Lil Wayne will be making it rain dollar bills players will be sporting green kicks and eco-friendly jerseys.

These Jordan Melo M5 “Green Week” editions will be seen on Carmelo Anthony’s feet. Both a home and away version were created to keep the green theme going. Green Week will have each team must have at least one green-themed action during the week. The goal is to raise awareness, and aid with fundraising for local environmental agencies.

These kicks go perfectly with the Denver Nuggets jerseys. They feature a white upper with Carolina-blue accents on the midsole, inner lining, tongue and the heel. The Denver Nuggets-yellow is visible on the tongue, and Melo logo on the outsole.

Designed by D’Wayne Edwards, this Melo M5 possesses the Jordan 15 style on the back, while featuring the Jordan 23 print on the side panels. They also feature the word Melo on the tongue and the date 08/08/08 imprinted on the inside of the tongue. This was the date the 2008 Beijing Olympics began.

We also have pics of the Melo M4 and the Melo M3 which is signed by him. If you recall, ‘Melo’ played in the Melo M4 throughout the 2008 Olympics.

The Jordan Melo M5 looks promising from the few photos we have seen of the shoes and looks to incorporate some familiar lines from the Jordan XX3 as well as the Melo M4. The M5, like all of Melo’s prior signature models, were designed by D’Wayne Edwards, the Design Director for Jordan Brand footwear. More shots of the shoes in action after the jump.
