The New Balance 574 has been a canvas for a number of styles this year. Specifically, we have spotted the Lux edition and the Clips Collection just to name a couple. Now, New Balance will unleash two new colorways of the New Balance 574 hybrid boot.

These highly-designed New Balance 574 hybrid boots contain multiple textures including mesh, premium leather and suede. As for the colorway, both pairs were inspired by outdoor trail jackets. one owns a blue/black-pink color scheme, while the other pair is dressed up in a yellow/blue/grey-black color scheme. The New Balance 574 Lux brings the hertitage of the classic silhouette with its simple shape and comfort, but the upper receives a luxurious treatment of fine materials.  The shoe utilizes a very rich and soft crinkled leather around the toe cap as well as side and real panels with an added interest of perforated leather on the toe box, tongue, and ankle collar.  Finishing off the luxurious feel, the shoe is lined with a soft leather and the branded with a sleeker tag on the tongue.

The upper is completely customizable by the use of velcro patches that are included with the purchase of these unique kicks. So if you want your “N” logo in blue or black, or completely covered up with a giant heart or star patch, it’s up to you. The heel area also features a changeable patch. The shoes other features include premium black leather and a speckled midsole.

The 574 has been seen in all sorts of wild and crazy colorways, but this time it gets a simple color treatment of navy blue and sand beige. For this latest version however, the materials used are a pretty wide variety. The reflective Microlite material, along with suede, nylon, mesh, and rubber are all mixed into the uppers. Sitting on top of the now famous ENCAP sytem that keeps you nice and comfortable.

The New Balance 574 Navy Blue/Beige is now available at Overkill for about $120.

Many companies have come with the comics, cartoon, and kid’s show “inspired” sneakers, but New Balance has an official deal with the PBS show we ALL grew up on. New Balance has released the classic 574 in a series of Sesame Street styles including pairs modeled after Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Oscar the Grouch. Besides colors and imagery of the respective characters, the liner and tongue feature a furry material similar to that of the character the shoe represents.

New Balance Kids has long been a financial supporter of Sesame Street and other programs to promote children health, but these sneakers take this commitment another step further. The Sesame Street New Balance shoes come in sizes from infant size up to grade school sizes - sorry adults.
