The MT580 has been a canvas for collaborations this year. This year, we spotted the HECTIC x mita x New Balance MT580, realmadHECTIC x mita x New Balance MT580 and the 686 x New Balance MT580 just to name a few. In addition, New Balance hooked up with Undefeated, Stussy and Hectic for yet another MT580.

This MT580 a mainly dark navy blue suede upper combined with a white midsole and gum bottom. As a nice color contrast, this sneaker also features a purple inner lining. New Balance keeps things rolling with fresh colorways, working in a hit or miss hot pink on this pair of MT580s. While they may not be as wild as some Newbies we’ve seen, these are similar to their design scheme to the New Balance 575 Trail.

Utilizing simple color blocking, multiple shades of grey work together to provide a base for the bright shade of pink to work against. Suede in a dark grey caps off the toe, while black, white and pink combine to create the mid- and outsole.

Lately we have started seeing the New Balance MT580 surface in some good colorups that ARE available to heads Stateside.  While we have seen some wild colorways, New Balance comes correct on this pair with well balanced color blocking on this White/Black/Red pair.

Given it’s past, it would only be fitting that after coming to America that the New Balance MT580 hook up to do some more collabs.  The latest to the plate is technical apparel outfitter 686 who utilizes their expertise in tough materials with dyed yarn panels and rich leather uppers.  Other details that catch the eye include pop color a Rollbar, speckled midsole, and contrast stitching.

Both colors of the 686 x New Balance MT580 are available now at 686.

It’s hard to draw many conclusions about the product yet, but already from the pic you can see that this MT580 features a black nubuck upper and gum outsole with matching Rollbar. The inside of the shoe seems to be lined in some repeating fabric that could possibly tie color to another part of the sneaker.

Last month we saw the True Red colorway, a well as the navy colorway of the New Balance MT580 hit retailers. This month the black version of the trail inspired runner is now available.

Not until recently has this comfortable running shoe appeared in down-to-earth colors. Of course a classic black sneaker with just a touch of grey is a can’t miss. Add to that the moderate price of $90 at Zappos, these would make some great day-to-day kicks.
