Nike Air Blue Chip PE Collection

Last week in our Kicks On Court, we spotlighted a few players sporting the Nike Air Blue Chip PE. Even though this sneaker cannot hold a torch up to Nike’s basketball darling sneaker (Nike Hyperdunk), many of you still like this model and its different colorways. With that said, Nike will be releasing player exclusive versions of the Blue Chip sneaker for the holiday season.

Included in this release will be Utah Jazz’s guard Deron Williams, Portland Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy, and Oklahoma City Thunder’s forward Kevin Durant’s PEs. Each player’s nickname is featured on the ankle area of his respective sneaker. If you have been paying attention, these young stars have been hooping in the Nike Air Blue Chip consistently throughout the season. Rudy Gay and Caron Butler are two others young stars that have been spotted in PE versions of the Nike Air Blue Chip. What is your thoughts on Nike’s secondary basketball sneaker? Nike Air Blue Chip Supreme PE: Rudy Gay & Caron Butler

Basketball season is finally here and with it comes many PEs from some of your favorite players. The Nike Air Blue Chip PE has been playing the supporting role of Robin to the Nike Hyperdunk (Batman) as far as appearances this season.

Here are two Nike Air Blue Chip PEs from Rudy Gay (left) and Caron Butler (right). The Rudy Gay PE, inspired by the Memphis Grizzlies colorway, features a black upper with yellow and light blue accents. The Caron Butler PE, inspired by the Washington Wizards (supposedly) features a white upper with blue and orange accents. Both sneakers are imprinted with the respective player’s jersey number on the ankle area.

You can purchase these two PEs at OSneaker right now for $150 a piece. More detailed pics of each shoe after the jump.

Many other players have hooped in the Air Blue Chip Supreme including Tony Parker, Brandon Roy, Kevin Durant, and Rajon Rondo. Check our Kicks On Court Editions to see these players sporting the Air Blue Chip PE.

Nike Air Blue Chip Kevin Durant Sonics PE

Nike Air Blue Chip PE SonicsWith the Seattle Supersonics winning a mere 20 games last season (a franchise worst), the team moving to Oklahoma City was no longer in question. It needed to happen. The Nike Air Blue Chip Sonics Colorway, a player exclusive for the team’s young star, Kevin Durant, could have been a staple on the court this season, had the team remained in Seattle.

We’ll probably never see this colorway of the Blue Chip on court, but it is definitely a reminder of the past. For Durant, and Sonic fans, it is nothing they want to remember. Oklahoma City fans will probably stick with the Thunder colorway we showed you in our “Kicks on Court” post last week. For sneakerheads, this is the kind of thing most of us drool over, a rare player exclusive, that may have a mere handful of duplicates around the world.
