Nike Air Trainer II “Spike Lee” Sample

Nike Air Trainer II - Spike Lee Pack

After showing you the Spike Lee inspired Big Nike and Blazer, we have now spotted a Nike Air Trainer II that is said to be a part of the pack. However, this is just a sample which is available now on eBay. As all sneaker heads know, Spike has been an instrumental element in many Nike and Jordan marketing campaigns. Therefore, Nike has once again returned the favor by creating a tribute pack for the veteran filmmaker.

The Trainer IIs display a Black/Red/Yellow colorway and an intriguing contrast between the elephant print and perforated leather on the toe box. As all the other silhouettes in the pack, these showcase glasses on the tongue tab as an allusion to the pack’s namesake.

We all recognize Spike by his iconic spectacles that have remained with him throughout the decades. Furthermore, his glasses serve as a wonderful organic symbol of the vision he possesses while crafting his revered films. Expect these kicks to release come December. As stated earlier, you can pick this shoe up on eBay now.

Nike Air Trainer II “Tecmo Bo”

Nike Air Trainer TW II Tecmo Bo

Nike is paying major respect this summer to Bo Jackson with the re-release of many of the sneakers he wore through the years of training for his many sports.  True, he only played professionally in baseball and football, but Bo knew no boundaries.

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the famous Bo Knows campaign.  One of the shoes brought out to celebrate Bo Jackson is the Nike Trainer II.  Though we have seen this silhouette return to Nike SB, this is the first non-SB release of the shoe since it was first introduced in 1989.  For the re-release, Nike is employing a creative concept of bringing the shoes back in Los Angeles Raiders colors (Bo played in LA, not Oakland) with a pixelized logo of Bo on the tongue from the classic video game Tecmo Bowl.

Look for the Nike Air Trainer II “Tecmo Bo’s” to release next month for $100.
