Nike Auto Flight + Hoop Structure “Aqua”

Nike

Nike’s new designs have been nothing less than a breath of fresh from the retros we are so used to seeing. This winter, Nike will unleash a plethora of new styles inspired by some classic sneakers. Specifically, will release the Aqua inspired Auto Flight and Hoop Structure.

The Nike Hoop Structure, obviously inspired by the Air Jordan 8 “Aqua”, features the crayon-like pattern on the heel. Also, the predominance of the base is done up in nubuck. As for the “Aquatone” Auto Flight, it owns a mainly white upper with a different color crayon design on the heel. Both will be available at select retailers later this winter. Nike Auto Flight Anthracite

Nike Auto Flight

The Nike Auto Force and the Nike Auto Flight have surprisingly received a lot of positive remarks since photos first surfaced in April. The latter sneaker has been seen in more colorways such as black/infrared, red/yellow and the “LA”. In addition, Nike has just released yet another Auto Flight colorway at select retailers across the nation.

The anthracite color scheme is often used by Nike with the most recent being the Alpholution, the Air Force 1 and the Air Griffey Max 1. With that said, Nike has applied the aforementioned color scheme to the Auto Flight. The predominance of the base is done up in anthracite, while minimal black accents appear in the form of the swoosh, shoelaces and the inner lining. As with previous Auto Flight colorways, this particular shoe is finished with a white vulcanized rubber sole. Is this the best Auto Flight colorway yet?

Nike Auto Force 180 & Auto Flight QS

Nike Auto Force 180 & Auto Flight QS

We’ve covered both this Auto Force 180 and Auto Flight as a part of the East-West Rivalry Pack. The Auto Force 180 is, of course designed as a tribute to the Knicks. The Auto Flight was put together for the NBA Champion Lakers by Eddie Cruz of UNDFTD.

Both will release as quickstrikes tomorrow. It’s pretty obvious that the Lakers have had a lot more success in recent years than the Knicks, but who wins this face-off between shoes?

Head to the comments section and weigh in on these.

Nike Auto Flight

Nike Auto FlightNot too long ago we showed you the Nike Auto Flight “LA”, a tribute to the 2009 NBA Champs. But not content to leave their hybrid sneaker reserved for special editions, Nike released pics recently of three new colorways for Summer 2010.

The sneakers, which borrow their uppers from the Nike Flight Lite High, but feature a different sole, will drop next summer in grey, navy and powder blue designs. The navy pair features carolina accents, while the grey and powder blue get a touch of lime green and gum, respectively. One design note to check out is the variations on the middle side panels. The grey/lime green air uses what appears to be a mesh overlay, whereas the powder blue pair uses the original design from the Flight Lite Highs and the navy’s panel is solid.

It looks like Nike will continue to roll out new takes on classic designs, including this silhouette and the Auto Force 180. Are you feeling these, or was once enough?

Click here for pics of all three.

Nike Auto Flight & Nike Auto Force

Nike Auto Flight & Nike Auto ForceSince the late 80’s, Nike Basketball was represented by two sides - Force and Flight.  Those two divisions are both represented in Nike’s next move of dropping classic silhouettes on a vulcanized sole.  Representing the Force is the Nike Auto Force which takes the Nike Air Force 180 and replacing the 180 degrees of Air with a slimmer vulc sole.  On the other side is the Nike Auto Flight which borrows the upper from the ‘91 classic Flight Lite High.  To introduce the two new silhouettes, a NYC colorway was worked up on the Auto Force and an LA colorup graces the Auto Flight.

No word is out about the availability or pricing of these two specific kicks, but inline Auto Flights and Auto Forces will retail for $90 and $88 respectively.  We have seen the slimmed down sole hit the Sabaku and the Dunk, what is your take on these?

Nike Auto Flight Limited Edition “LA”

Nike Auto Flight

Surprisingly, many of you actually liked the newly-designed Auto Flight model upon seeing it earlier this year in the black/infrared colorway and the red/yellow color scheme. However, we may have spotted the best Auto Flight colorway yet. Any Lakers’ fans out there?

This hybrid model, which obviously owns the same upper as the infamous Nike Flight Lite High, has now received its first form of inspiration from the NBA World Champion Los Angeles Lakers. With that said, the Lakers’ attributes are anything but noticeable. Varsity purple leather makes up an abundance of this shoe, while minimal yellow accents such as the inner lining, the Nike tongue logo and the imprinted ‘LA’ (heel panel) contrast nicely throughout the base. As with previous Auto Flight colorways, this shoe is finished with a white vulcanized rubber sole. This limited edition Quickstrike release will drop some time in September. Nike Auto Flight Red/Yellow

Nike Auto Flight Red/Yellow

Last Friday, we showed you the upcoming Nike Auto Flight Black/Infrared, and those who commented surprisingly gave this shoe two thumbs up! The black/infrared colorway is one you cannot really go against. However, we have now spotted the second upcoming Nike Auto Flight colorway.

Similar to the Nike Zoom LeBron VI “Big Apple”, this particular shoe contains a 100% candy apple nubuck base. It also features minimal yellow and black details on the inner lining, heel panel and border of the tongue. Other features include a white vulcanized rubber sole, red shoelaces and an interesting tongue logo which features a red, yellow and green emblem. Supposedly, this shoe will be a part of an upcoming Football Club pack. Which colorway interest you the most: the Black/Infrared or this Nike Auto Flight Red/Yellow?
