Nike Air Max 1 on NikeiD

New Nike iD Silhouette

Tinker’s first revolutionary sneaker, the Air Max 1, is now available for customization through Nike’s iD system. Reflective materials and suede are both available, with the big option being the “Splatter” option, which allows you to cover your panels or midsole with speckles of paint in a number of colors.

For $125, these are above the average cost of an AM1, but that’s to be expected for the ability to customize your own sneaks. iD options include adding your name or whatever other (appropriate) phrases you can think of to the heels. If you’re interested in throwing together your own Air Max 1s, head to the Nike iD design site now. And don’t forget about the recent design addition for the Air Max 90, either.

Nike Air Max 90 iD New Option

Nike Air Max 90 iD New Option

The last time Nike added a new option to their online iD system, it was the classic Safari print for the Dunk. Now they’ve added another material for the design palette in the Hufquake pattern.

Nike may be referring to it as “Cracked leather,” but we recognize the pattern from HUF x Nike collaborations in the past, including the HUF x Air Max 90 Current Huarache. The material is able to be placed on the mudguard along the bottom and the overlay in mid-panel, under where the Swoosh lies.

Head over to Nike iD to grab your own pair.

Virtual Mo x Nike iD Dunk Low “Mo-Bama”

Virtual Mo x Nike iD Dunks MobamaA couple weeks ago we posted artist Virtual Mo’s MøBama edition sneaker on Ryz Wear. What some of you may not know is the Virtual Mo’s Labyrinthine Projectionâ„¢ work has been in the marketplace before. Mo Morales aka Mø worked on the lasered Air Force 1 Mids from several years go and also caught the attention of Michael Jordan to do the lasered image of MJ’s face on the back of the Air Jordan 20 Low.

Mø is a proud Obama supporter and chose Barack as the theme for this pair of Nike iD Dunk Lows that he worked up. The back heel features Obama’s birth year and the in and out side panels are laser etched with “HOPE” and “2008″. Lastly and unmistakably, Obama’s portrait is lasered onto the toebox of the Dunks in Labyrinthine Projectionâ„¢ form. Mø ordered the lasered Nike iD Dunk Lows, but just the colors and year was not enough to satisfy. He then added lasering to the toe box and other pieces of the shoes himself.

I am sure Nike’s PR and legal team wants it to be well known that these are not endorsed by Nike, Inc., Barack Obama, or the Democratic National Committee…gotta love lawyers.
