Nike SB Dunk Low "Un-Hemp" Available Now

It was almost a week ago that we hit you with detailed photos of the “Un-Hemp” Dunk, and the skinny tongue vs. fat tongue debate raged on. For the most part though, the reception was warm and most of you marked them as a sign that SB is back on track, regardless of which tongue it’s bringing.

If you were one of the many who added these to your list of Holiday must-haves, you’ll be happy to know that thanks to Daily Drop, we now know these are available online and stateside. These may not be the “Chirping Bird” SBs, but they are a nice addition to most any collection, if only for the color and materials selections.

Nike SB Dunk Low Premium “Chirping Bird”

SB lovers rejoice, the fat tongue has returned! And that’s not all this tongue does, as these sample Dunk Lows, dubbed the “Chirping Bird,” make a chirping noise when you squeeze their tongue. These may take a cue from Tickle Me Elmo, but the black denim construction means they’re still a pretty tough sneaker.

The uppers use that black denim on every panel but the heel sections, where a white leather label and black mesh can be found. Contrasting these are the red outsole and white midsole. The liner is done in matching black fur and the Swoosh is patent.

Unfortunately, these are only a sample at this stage. One pair is available for a hefty price at ATB Boston in size 9. Click here for more pics and a video of the chirping action.

Nike SB Dunk Low Premium “Un-Hemp”

Nike SB Dunk Low Premium "Un-Hemp"

Mixing suede with hemp, these Nike SBs received mixed reviews when we first got a look at them this past Summer. For the most part, the colors, design and material selection were agreed to be on point, but the one thing missing was the prized SB fat tongue.

If the skinny tongue isn’t a deal-breaker for you, you’ll be happy to know that these have hit some retailers, with more expected soon. As you can see, the majority of the uppers are orange suede, with the remainder being tan hemp. The liner, second set of laces and outsole are all brown, with the liner receiving a white splatter treatment. Red tongue and heel labels finish off the colorway.

Do the skinny tongues ruin these for you, or are they still on your list for this coming season? Head to the comments section and let us know.

Nike Dunk Mid Pro SB and Dunk Low SB

Nike Dunk Mid Pro SB and Low SBTwo new Nike Dunks have surfaced for Spring 2010, one being a Mid Pro SB and the other a Low SB.

The Nike Low SB comes in a red suede makeup, with a matching red leather swoosh and mid panel. Blue works as an accent on the midsole stitching tongue and near the collar, also. This colorway is a nice patriotic look for the classic low-top. The Mid Pro SB uses an all-black design with a white swoosh and midsole. Like the low, suede is used on the forefoot, but leather makes up the rest here.

Is this a good step for the SB lineup? Hit up the comments board and let us know how you feel.

Nike SB Dunk Low “Un-Hemp”

Nike SB Dunk Low Ron Burgundy

Back in the early 2000’s, Nike released the original Hemp Dunks in a number of colorways. Hemp has been a favorite amongst sneakerheads, although, when overused, it can make you hungry for more.

That’s what Nike is hoping for with these latest Nike SB Dunk Low “Un-Hemp” editions that will be available this holiday season. This time, rather then the upper being completely hemp, orange suede has been mixed in. Aside from the hemp coloring, orange takes up the most part of the upper, while brown accents the inner liner and laces. No word on an exact release date, but we’ll keep you informed.

Nike SB Dunk Low “Ron Burgundy”

Nike SB Dunk Low Ron Burgundy

The latest Nike SB Dunk Low has arrived at LTD. This time around the Dunk stays classy like San Diego thanks to legendary Anchorman, Ron Burgundy.

Ron’s unique (timeless?) 70’s style inspired these Nike SB Dunk Low “Ron Burgundy”. Burgundy’s suit is represented with the color of the same namesake, while the gold found on the Swoosh represents the Gold from Ron’s watch and cuff links. Final touches are applied with the pattern print near the heel that represents Burgundy’s tie. These will set you back about $130.
