Nike Sky Force Hi “Tecmo Bo”

Nike Sky Force Hi Tecmo BoThis year marks the 20th anniversary of the famous “Bo Knows” commercial series. Along with the introduction of the Nike Trainer 1, Nike has rolled out a number of shoes honoring the best who represented the Nike Training category.

Bo Jackson was arguably one of the best athletes in his prime excelling at virtually every sport he played. Though he played professionally in just football and baseball, his training routine included a number of others. To honor Bo Jackson, Nike has rolled out a number of retro releases inspired by the man who knew. This Nike Sky Force Hi, originally released in 1984, comes with the “Tecmo Bo” theme. The upper features pixelate graphics that throwback to the 8bit video game as well as a tongue graphic of Bo Jackson himself. Colors used for the shoes are none other than the LOS ANGELES Raiders. Yes, the team is not located in Oakland, but Bo only played in LA. The “Tecmo Bo” Nike Sky Forces are available at NikeStore and select retailers for $82.

Earlier this year we saw a number of simple colorways of the Sky Force High from Nike.

This Nike Sky Force Tecmo Bowl Sample may or may not see the light of day. This makeup features the digitized print surrounding the Swoosh. The Raider-esque color combo would definitely be Bo Jackson approved if these ever make it into production.

Nike Air Max 95 x Nike Sky Force “Nintendo Wii”

Nike Air Max 95 x Nike Sky Force

Nike has already released the Nintendo Wii inspired Air Force 2 and Blazer to many sneaker head’s liking. In addition, Nike has recently dropped the Nike Air Max 95 and the Nike Sky Force inspired by the same gaming system. Both pair contain the same colorway of the Blazer, yet they lack the detailed design of the Air Force 2.

The Sky Force features more color on the upper seeing that it uses dashes of red on the tongue and contrast stitching throughout the upper. It also owns an icy sole as well. The Nike Air Max 95 contains a mostly white base with grey accents on the tongue, visible Air unit and outsole. It also possesses a dark grey strip seen in the middle of the upper. Are these two sneakers better than the other two Wii-inspired shoes?
