Nike Zoom Kobe IV Gradient "Home" & "Away"

The Nike Zoom Kobe V “Chaos” and “Away” surfaced recently, meaning the run of Kobe IVs is coming to an end.And to go out with a bang, the Gradient “Home” and “Away” colorways are now available at House of Hoops locations. Wider releases at non-HoH Foot Locker locations are also expected this week.

We’ve seen so many colorways of the Kobe IV, so it may be hard to be super excited for these, but the gradient colorways have been deemed favorites by Kobe fan and haters alike. The “Away” colorway fades purple and black together, accenting it with bits of Lakers gold throughout. Purple and black snakeskin leather are also used around the ankle and tow cap, as well. The “Home” color-up uses white instead, better matching the alternate Los Angeles white jerseys.

With these being one of your last chances to grab a Kobe IV before the V drops, do you plan to grab these?

HOH Mall at Prince Georges Special Releases

HOH Prince Georges Mall Special Releases

We just announced the grand opening of a new House of Hoops location at the Mall at Prince Georges, with a promise that there would be some serious heat for the occasion. Well, it looks like Maryland ‘heads won’t be disappointed, as the Nike Air Bakin’ LE, silver Nike 1/2 Cent and Nike Zoom Kobe IV “4 Rings” will all be available on Sunday at the opening.

The Air Bakin’ LE we saw just yesterday, and the super shiny retro was very well received. The 1/2 Cent is well, the 1/2 Cent, and the silver colorway is definitely one of the most wanted. Finally, the Zoom Kobe IV “4 Rings” is one we thought we might not ever see make it to full retail. It may be another in a long line of Kobe IVs, but the Championship-tribute sneaker with the bright color and gradient is a solid take on the Lakers’ colors.

If you’re after any of these and in the PG area, head down to the new House of Hoops this Sunday.

Nike Zoom Kobe IV

Two days ago, we showed you the ‘Away’ version of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV “Gradient Lakers”, and the majority of the comments stated that Nike should stop with the Kobe IV already. How many different colorways can possibly be executed with gold and purple? Since the official Kobe IV release in earlier in the 2008-09 NBA season, we have spotted at least six Kobe IV styles all possessing the purple/gold color scheme; yet, each one owns specific accents. With that said, we have now spotted another Kobe IV dubbed the “Gradient Lakers”.

It features most of its purple/gold accents on the heel panel and collar area; however, it contains a gradient-like design most notably seen on the side panels. It then fades into a predominately black toe area with the border around the toe box done up in black snakeskin leather. No word on when this shoe will officially release; however, click here to view detailed photos. What are your thoughts on the continuous Kobe IV styles?
