Just last week we saw Deron Williams sporting some slick black Zoom Sharkalaids in our daily Kicks on Court feature. As a leading point guard in the NBA, it’s only right that he gets his own PE, if not a signature, and Nike has obliged him with these Zoom Sharkalaids, which are available now at House of Hoops locations. Another player who deserves and has received a PE? A guy by the name of Rudy Gay, whose dunks you can find on a near-nightly basis on ESPN highlight reels.

D-Will’s PEs feature a white and carolina blue make-up, matching the Jazz’s white uniforms. The icy blue sole is translucent, and the straps feature a weave of a similar colorway. For Rudy’s PE, the color-up is black, though the accents and designs throughout are nearly identical to the white pair we saw him wear on Media Day. Black patent leather makes up the majority of the upper, while yellow and light blue accent the Swoosh, straps and midsole.

The Nike Zoom Sharkalaid takes inspiration from the classic Nike Air Raid, one of the most durable outdoor court shoes to ever hit the blacktop, as well as the Zoom Sharkley. Technology updates come in the form of a Phylon midsole and Zoom Air Unit in the heel.

Summertime brings out more heads than usual to the local park, so durability is a must when it comes to summer basketball shoes. After seeing the Jordan Element score well in that department, and being a fan of the original Air Raid, I was anxious to see how well these kicks did in the hot summer sun.

Fresh off of the heels of the Nike Transformers II Pack, Nike is set to release yet another collection of movie inspired sneakers for the highly anticipated film G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra.

Similar to the aforementioned Transformers II Pack, this upcoming G.I. Joe collection also features a Nike Zoom Sharkalaid. Inspired by the Storm Shadow character in the movie, this shoe possesses a 100% white leather base mixed with a grey sole. Other features include black/red cross straps, black shoelaces and a cobra imprint design on the insole. The Nike Zoom Sharkalaid “Storm Shadow”, along with two more G.I. Despite all the attention surrounding the upcoming Hyperize model, the Nike Zoom Sharkalaid has quietly gained a lot of positive reviews since it first debuted on the web. If you are one of those who like this shoe, Vault has three colorways in stock.

Having just shown you the Nike Zoom FP from the Transformers II Pack, photos of the Nike Zoom Sharkalaid from the same pack have surfaced on the web. From what you have seen so far, does this pack do ‘more than meet your eyes’?

This particular Zoom Sharkalaid colorway is inspired by the Soundwave character in the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie. Coinciding with Soundwave’s metal color in the movie, this shoe possesses a Blue/Red-Grey color scheme. This shoe will also be packaged inside of a box similar to that of a Hasbro Transformers toy.
