Converse x Staple “Pigeons”

Converse x Staple PigeonsJeff Staple is at it again, this time teaming up with Converse for the Converse x Staple “Pigeon” sneaker.

When Jeff Staple puts his iconic “pigeon” logo or colorway onto anything, it turns to gold. Previous releases include Nike Dunks, which will set you back about $2000 on eBay, the New Balance 575, which can be had for about $400, and New Era fitteds, which are considered a steal at about $75. These Converse feature the stitched pigeon icon on the tongue, and the now standard “pigeon” issue coloring, grey and salmon-orange.

We can only expect the same from these future (hopefully) releases. Not much info is available now, but we’ll keep you updated.

Staple “Pigeon” New Balance 575 Released

Staple New Balance 575 PigeonJust a few days ago we gave you the news about an upcoming “Pigeon” New Balance 575 releasing thanks to a collaboration between Staple Design and New Balance. At the time we did not have any release info and it appears that Jeff and New Balance wanted to keep it that way.

The shoes have popped up unannounced at select shops across the globe drawing lines and camp-outs for the limited sneakers. It has been nearly 3 years since Staple’s first Pigeon shoe released and we all know how much people wanted those!

We have not been able to locate a list of shops getting the Pigeon New Balance 575’s so the best we can recommend is get in touch with your local New Balance spot or bid away on eBay. Photos thanks to Atmos.

Jeff Staple x New Balance 575 “Pigeon”

Jeff Staple x New Balance 575 Pigeon

There is no more memorable release than the Pigeon Dunk. From the campouts to the crowds to the violence that surrounded the release, this shoe was never going to be forgotten. The Pigeon theme was the thought of Staple Design’s founder Jeff Ng, better known as Jeff Staple. Though it has been 3 years since the release of the shoes, one can’t deny its impact it has had on the market.

A few months ago we posted a digital sketch of the shoe but very little has followed until now. We now have confirmation that the shoe will be something that will reach the market in the future limited to 800 pairs. Sneaker Freaker caught up with Jeff Staple for an interview about his work and the new Pigeon New Balance 575. The full interview will be available in the new issue of Sneaker Freaker that releases August 13th, but for a little taste click here for a little preview.
