Puma First Round “Africa”

Puma First Round

In mid-January, Puma revealed photos of the First Round Mesh which is a part of their upcoming 2010 spring/summer lineup. We have now spotted two more First Round colorways that will release at select Puma retailers soon.

This two-set of Puma First Rounds are simply nicknamed the “Africa”. One pair feature a 100% black suede base with multiple gold and pink accents throughout the upper. The remaining pair uses a 100% leather base done up in white; it contains a very simple color scheme as silver and blue hints grace the upper. The black pair is finished with a white midsole/pink outsole and the white pair is complimented with a white midsole/blue outsole. Click here to view additional photos.

Puma First Round Mesh

Puma First Round

As evident by the comment section, there were not too many of you that were interested in the Puma First Round “Kiss” for Valentine’s Day. However, Puma has returned to the basics and created two, fresh colorways of its classic First Round.

One pair features an all-red upper, while the remaining pair owns a blue base (shown here). Although the colorways undoubtedly give this shoe a fresh look, its texture makeup is what sets it apart from previous First Rounds. Monochromatic mesh covers the entire side panel and some of the collar, while suede appears on the toe area. In addition, patent leather areas are seen on the heel and side panels. Both colorways are finished with a white midsole and an monochromatic outsole. How do you feel about these new Puma First Rounds?

Puma First Round Wildlife Releases

Puma First Round Wildlife ReleasesHere we go with a Puma shoe in for this weeks Fugly. In case one release wasn’t enough to secure their spot, Puma doubled up their efforts with the Puma First Round “Grizzly Bear” and “Deer” edition sneakers.

For these First Rounds, they decided rather than use a grizzly or deer for inspiration, they decided to just plaster the images they were looking at on the side of the shoe. In order to help the animals in the photos to feel at home, they’ve added a wood-like texture and print to the uppers, and to keep them warm through the winter they’ve added a furry lining to shoes inner. Do we want to know what’s next?

Available at German based Vagant for €109.90.
