24 Kilates x Reebok Pump
Posted by Alex Kroviak | Nov 5, 2009
Next up in the ever-growing list of Reebok Pump collaborations is this pair from Spanish shop 24 Kilates. At first glance it appears that the retailer’s design team did nothing at all to a pair of original black Pumps, but further investigation will show that this sneaker pays tribute while still moving forward with its design. Rather than opt for black leather, the uppers are made with suede, keeping the look of the original in tact. Transparent material was used in places to show off the inner pump bubbles running throughout, creating a “window” into the inner-workings of the Pump system. According to Pol Fanlo, “24 KILATES’ main objective is to make an act of respect and admiration to a system that represented a revolution in the sneaker world. Respecting the original colours and showing the system to everyone to admire, a tribute with sense.” Like the other collaborations we’ve seen, 31 individually-numbered pairs will be available on November 20th at the 24 Kilates store. That being said, what do you think of these collaborative sneakers? Head to the comments section and weigh in. |
Espionage x Reebok Pump
Posted by Alex Kroviak | Nov 4, 2009
Sydney’s Espionage is next up in the long line of collaborators with Reebok on their Pump 20 project. And with a name like Espionage, it’s only fitting that these Pumps done a high-tech look fit for James Bond. The uppers are made with a super glossy carbon fiber print leather, accented with white plastic pieces throughout. The black and white colorway is broken up with red laces, which are an option against solid black or black and white laces. How do these stack up against the other collabs we’ve seen, like the Stolen Riches pair we saw yesterday? Click here for more pics. |

STLN RCHS x Reebok Pump
Posted by Alex Kroviak | Nov 3, 2009
The next in the long line of Reebok Pump collabs is the only one we’ll get from our neighbors to the north. Toronto’s Stolen Riches has worked up their own take on the classic Reebok as a part of the 20th anniversary celebration. The Canadian crew wanted to create a limited edition sneaker that could actually be worn; in bad weather no less. Having been built to battle the Toronto winter weather, the uppers on these have been Teflon treated to resist snow and water, and are charcoal with grey pinstripes. If you can see pass the tags, the white midsole sits on a “Black Ice” outsole and charcoal grey accents appear throughout. Click here to see more pics. |
