Footwear Faceoff - UNC Jordan Jumpman Pro vs. Kentucky Hyperdunk
Posted by George Kiel III | Nov 19, 2008 Last night, one of the most heralded college basketball rivalries took place in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The UNC Tar Heels demolished the University of Kentucky Wildcats on national TV; however, that was not the only battle that took place on the hardwood.
The Air Jordan Jumpman Team Pro and the Nike Hyperdunk have been a constant force on the pro level, and it seems the college hardwoods are populated with them as well. Most of the Tar Heels sported Jumpman PEs in a White/Carolina Blue colorway with the school logo right below the Jumpman sign. High school basketball recruits have, or will choose UNC over many schools just because of its Jordan affiliation. What a nice recruiting tool! On the other side, UK players sported a royal blue/white Nike Hyperdunk PE with its school logo on the tongue. This is very similar to the Kentucky PE we showed you earlier this month.
