Shop Shout : Primitive

PrimitivePaul Rodriguez is one of the nicest cats you will ever meet, so it brings me great pleasure to introduce the Nice Kicks readers to his shop, Primitive. Primitive, located in Encino, CA, carries the top Nike SB products, but also gets all of the urban account and quickstrike goodies. They also carry all the popular streetwear brands we all know and love. The team that works there are working class dudes who know their kicks and gear to help you find whatever you are looking for.

Premium Plus had the chance to go in the store and take some pictures and interview Paul about the store. The store has a new age look to the ancient ruins of a Mayan temple accented all around by of course skateboard gear and mementos left by Paul. If your in the area stop by and if not just call them up they do phone orders as well for those who cant get their shoes they have SB’s for days. I would like to thank Jubal Jones for his help and shout to Andy Netkin and Paul of course for doing it up like this!

Air Jordan 1 Hi Doernbecher Freestyle “Mr.Boober”

Doernbecher Air Jordan HiDoernbecher Children’s Hospital has been working with Nike every year to help raise money to fund research and basic operations. Every year as you all know five shoes from the Doernbacher series drop and the money from those sales are contributed to the hospital. These were designed by Tony Taylor Jr., nicknamed Mr. Boober, who battled Nephrotic Syndrome and underwent a successful kidney transplant at the hospital.

Jayson Mayden and Estelle Maranan guided Tony with his vision of the project and the inspirations took inspiration from the very experiences of his life.

These are the second Air Jordans to be part of the Doernbecher Freestyle project.  Last year we saw the Doernbecher Air Jordan 2.

This shoe will release November 14th along with four other Doernbecher children designed shoes. Thanks to SoleCollector for the pictures and story.

Nike Zoom Flight Club Tony Parker

Nike 2009 Zoom Flight Club Tony ParkerTony Parker has been destroying guards like Steve Nash and Jason Kidd for a few years now; however, it seems Nike is just now paying attention. Nike has finally blessed TP with his much-deserved signature shoe in its latest acquisition to the Nike Zoom Flight Club. Yes, in the past Nike had special edition Tony Parker Nike Dunks and he was apart of the New 6 Air Force Ones that surfaced, but basketball-wise he was stuck with the team shoes until now.

For 2009, Nike and Tony Parker will release this latest version of the Zoom Flight Club. Though the shoe may be created in that old, tired San Antonio Spurs colorway, you will sure see Tony Parker flying past opposing point guards (as he usually does) in these kicks. The shoe is designed with a covering over the front reminiscent to the Nike Zoom Flight 98 “Glove” Gary Payton used to sport. Are these sneakers better than Parker’s rapping skills?

Take a look at Tony’s first ever signature sneaker after the jump along with some sexy Eva Longoria lingerie pics (you wish). Stay tuned for more info regarding the release date. Thanks to Ken Lu for the pics. Au revoir!
