Vans Vault gave the Era silhouette a minimal upgrade to create the Era Piping. These classics are covered in black suede. The white piping provides curvaceous trails across the upper thereby accentuating the sneaker’s assembly. Also, the piping provides a more gradual segue for the white/black/white contrast starting with the vulcanized sole up through the upper and down into the inner lining.

These aren’t neckbreakers but the Era boasts its own self-assurance as an American classic since 1976. The Vans Vault Era Piping is now available at Bows & Arrows.

Pairing up with Vans Vault, Taka Hayashi has designed up this Velocita LX, dressing up the simple Vans style with luxury leather and multiple details throughout. Hayashi’s coming up strong in the sneaker and skate communities, and you may remember his name from another pair he did for Vans in the No Quarter LX.

Black leather makes up the uppers one these, vaguely borrowing designs from classic Vans designs like the Era and Authentic. The underside of the leather is dark tan, which appears on the liner, tongue accent and edges of the layered panels. The heel folds over, and the underside is designed with multiple colors.

R. Crumb and Vans Vault have collaborated on an Authentic One Piece LX. R. Crumb, an American illustrator and founder of Underground Comix, is recognized for his satirical images depicting mainstream American society.

Powder blue serves as the blank canvas for R. Crumb’ s illustrations that cover the heel and mid panel, leaving the toe box bare. Co-labeling and more of R.Crumb’s imagery can be found on the shoe box.

These kicks are now available at Wish for a price of $94.

Along with the multiple Chukka Boots and Del Barco LX’s that have released this fall/winter season, Vans has just released two colorways of the Switchback model. Both colorways are now available now at select retailers such as Proper.

Both pairs feature a 100% wool-textured base, a boot lacing construction and a white vulcanized rubber sole. One pair possesses a dark green color scheme with brown shoelaces, while the other one owns a brown-colored base combined with red shoelaces. As stated earlier, both Switchbacks are now at Proper.

For Spring 2010, Vans Vault will drop a new silhouette on us with this Mountain Edition, of which the initial design was done with textile and leather manufacturer Knoll. Dedicated to the world of mountain biking, these are a similar shape to the Buffalo Boot LX, but with a forefoot strap.

All four pairs in the initial pack utilize a black tongue and white vulcanized sole, though the uppers used include purple, teal, olive and black. A tan leather patch appears on the side of the shoe, with a pink Vans “mountain” logo. At first glance, the label makes the new sneaker look like a higher version of the Half Cab White Label Series we saw awhile back. Plan on grabbing these next year?

There seems to be a new, subtle, winter-ready Vans release that surfaces everyday. Following the Del Barco LX new arrivals we showed you yesterday, Vans has now stated that it will reissue a few sneakers from the classic Ray Barbee 20th Anniversary Pack.

This multi-sneaker release will be a part of Vans’s holiday collection. The models that Vans will be reissued include the Chukka Boot ‘95, the Era ‘87 and the Old Skool ‘92. Each sneaker is finished with a white contrast stitching throughout the upper and a white vulcanized rubber sole. Click here to view the pack in its entirety.
