The Zoom Kobe IV has been on everyone’s watch list since it was unveiled last month. A number of colorways have shown up, but the latest is the colorway inspired by the throwback Minneapolis Lakers colors of the 1950’s, before the team relocated to Los Angeles.

The Nike Zoom Kobe IV MPLS features Flint Grey, University Blue and white. Noticeably missing is the yellow found on the team’s jerseys. No complaints here though, this Kobe 4 colorway is fire just as it is. Now it’s time for someone to update the vinyl figure and make his kicks current.

If history repeats itself, look for this colorway to be available around the time of the All-Star game in February, if you can’t wait, they are available now at MarqueSole for $229.

Although the much attention is centered around the Nike Zoom Kobe 4 “Venom” and “Carpe Diem” that Bryant debuted this past weekend, we have spotted three special editions of Nike’s lightest basketball sneaker ever.

These special edition PEs include the 2009 All Star PE, the Rice High School PE, and the Lower Merion High School PE. If you recall, Kobe Bryant attended the latter high school mentioned. Supposedly, the Red/White colorway is the same sneaker Kobe will be wearing in the upcoming All Star Game. Could this be Kobe’s best sneaker in his signature series?
