The 2004 Olympic Games was a successful sporting event for a few individuals, like Swimmer Michael Phelps who took home eight medals, but for some it was a moment that was filled with disappointment.
The United States lost for the first time in Olympic men’s basketball since NBA players were permitted to play in the Games. This defeat came at the hands of Puerto Rico 92–73. Although Team USA’s play only warranted a bronze medal, a number of their shoes were golden. Today, we take a brief look back at the 2004 Olympic Basketball Team’s best sneakers.
