Counting down to the highly anticipated release of the “Legend Blue” Air Jordan 11s we are celebrating a different pair of Air Jordan 11s each day.
To kick off the 11 day series, we take it back to where it all started with the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” PE that Michael Jordan debuted on court in 1995. In Game 4 of the 1995 Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, Michael Jordan debuted a sneaker that would revolutionize sneaker culture. While both releases of the Space Jam Air Jordan 11 has sported a #23 on the back, the pair that MJ wore had the #45.
This exact pair shown we covered back in 2012 when it was up for auction on eBay. Not only are they one of the rarest of rare grails, they are autographed by the man himself.
Could we see an Air Jordan 11 ’95 release with the shoe exactly like he wore on court like Jordan Brand did with the Air Jordan 3 ’88? Next year would mark the 20th anniversary of this historic moment. (hint hint Jordan Brand).
