Why it could?ve made the list: How many athletes get two distinct signature lines with one brand? Kobe Bryant and adidas made history with The Kobe. The streamlined design was innovative and unique to the market and also beloved by Bryant. Getting called back twice, Kobe rocked the model of his namesake for each of his first three NBA Championships.
Why it didn?t: Any design that breaks the mold is regarded upon polarizing at debut, but the great ones usually win over the masses with time. The Kobe did not. Contrary to the majority of models on our list, these still straddle the love/hate divide.
