Danish sportswear giant, HUMMEL HIVE joins forces with Spanish streetwear boutique 24 Kilates for a special capsule. The collab is inspired by 24 Kilates’s Bangkok location while being donned by Thailand’s National Sepak Takraw team. Those unfamiliar with each brand allow me to equate this to being the European version of Kith x adidas Soccer.
24 Kilates translated to English is 24 carat. Gold is the underlying theme and if the translation isn’t enough look no further than 24 Kilates’s Bangkok location. The shit is a friggin’ gold laced bank vault that holds sneakers, it’s amazing.
While the collection includes two complete kits, one short sleeve and one long sleeve, the focus will be Hummel Hive’s Marathona. The classic silo is fashioned with a premium lamb leather upper while tonal stitching etches throughout creating a false overlay. Metal eyelets come laced in all black with three alternative options. An image of Siam Indrajit, known as a protector giant in Thailand, is embossed in gold across the tongue. Gold appears again on the heel pull tab in a chevron pattern adding some pattern to an otherwise blank silo. Gold tipped laces and plated 24 Kilates emblem bring home the final touches to go along with a white midsole.
Only 333 pieces will be made available for this exclusive collab. Releasing December 2nd exclusively at 24 Kilates locations. A global release is set for December 7th at hummel.net, HANON, AFEW, Black Rainbow, Overkill, Titolo, and Par5.
