Jordan Drops a Double-Nickel
A fax simply reading “I’m Back” caused simultaneous rejoicing among sports fans. Why? That fax signified Michael Jordan’s return to basketball. Wearing jersey number 45 and the Air Jordan 10 “Chicago” on March 29, 1995, Jordan burned the New York Knicks for 55 points in just his fifth game back on the court. Even Spike Lee had to give props after that performance in a commercial to follow. This should have been a warning to the rest of the league, as MJ went on to drop a triple-double in the very next game.
