Yesterday we posted the news that Nike will be unveiling a new Kobe shoe when he passes Michael Jordan’s career scoring mark of 32,292 points.
After today’s home loss against the Pelicans where he put up 14 points, the magic number is 63 points. Unless Kobe goes off on the visiting Kings on Tuesday, he will likely cross the mark on the road with the following games taking place in San Antonio, Minnesota, and Indiana.
While we have seen Nike use career marks such as these for opportunities for launch new colorways or even options on NikeiD, the timing does give us reason to think we might see the new Nike Kobe X soon. Ever since the Nike Zoom Kobe IV, the month of December is when we see the new Kobe shoe unveiled by Nike. I guess we’ll have to wait, watch, and see!
