Early Team Jordans
Reason: Demand
Team Jordans have always been associated with takedown in some manner, but none of that mattered as much when Jordan Brand first launched in 1997. It was understood that both Michael Jordan and his shoes were the greatest in the game, so any athlete endorsing his line or the designs that derived from it were still fresh and formidable. Early models like the Jumpman Pro Quick and Jumpman Pro were fluid and tied to the likes of Eddie Jones and Kevin Garnett. Yes, both models have seen retro release, but neither excelled at retail. Whether or not the re-launch was too soon is debatable, but the current opinion on ‘Team Jordans” will probably stop a future retro release. It’s too bad.
