Nike Air Unlimited

Reason: Cost

We’d love to see the Nike Air Unlimited get the retro treatment, but it’s hard to imagine. With all the ’90s wave popularity, it seems like this model would have returned by now. While D-Rob’s 71 point performance and G Hill’s Duke career are strong stories, none seem to register enough with today’s buyers to sell shoes. More importantly, the amount of work needed to reconstruct this shoe seems to exceed demand. Nike’s seen desired shoes like the Total Air Uptempo and Air Penny 3 bring in slow sales. If it’s not easy to make and it’s not a sure thing, then a retro doesn’t make sense from a business standpoint.
