Melting Sadness and adidas come together to create the “Melting Ice Cream” collection. Led by Chinese artist Zhang Quan, Melting Sadness is known for releasing some of the wackiest adidas collaborations ever. They definitely give Jeremy Scott a run for his money, but Kerwin Frost might have them beat. The “Melting Ice Cream” collection features two versions of the adidas Campus, as well as two variations of the adidas 3MC.
The first adidas Campus comes in “Halo Mint” and features a light blue upper and melted tan detailing. Its sister shoe, the “Campus Sand,” takes that buttery tan to the next level with a monochromatic upper and textured details that resemble ice cream cones. Both adidas Campuses are finished with a cork heel tab, tan laces, and “Melting Sadness” branding next to the signature adidas Three-Stripes. To complete the collection, the adidas 3MC comes in two flavors of its own. “Cream White” delivers a Neapolitan-inspired colorway with a mix of cream, brown, and soft pink. The “Icy Blue” colorway serves up some rainbow sherbet goodness as the most colorful sneaker of the pack, coming in a mix of blue, yellow, pink and green. Each sneaker is complete with an individual hang tag that varies between ducks, bees, and bunnies.
The Melting Sadness x adidas “Melting Ice Cream” Collection is available now via Japanese-retailers like Atmos for approximately $120. For more adidas releases and updates on all your favorite sneakers, follow @NiceKicks on Twitter.
