In an effort to prioritize sustainability, Nike has been expanding their Move-To-Zero collection, which guarantees that each sneaker is made with at least 20% recycled materials. At the beginning of the Move-To-Zero campaign, a lot of the sneakers boasted sustainable aspects within their design. The lineup used elements such as Nike’s recycled grind rubber and colorways that screamed, “going green.” These design choices had us worried that Nike’s Move-To-Zero campaign was destined to be a moment of trendy activism, further flooding the sustainability conversation with superficial anecdotes. However, with shoes like the classic Air Force 1 Low and now this Blazer Mid ‘77 “Next Nature,” it seems that Nike has plans to make the Move-To-Zero collection an everyday staple.

The Nike Blazer Mid ‘77 “Next Nature” is an important moment for the Move-To-Zero series because it adds a classic favorite to the lineup. We love sneakers that are unique, but at the end of the day, nothing beats a timeless all-white Nike. It matches everything you have in your closet and puts an effortless finish on any outfit. With Sail and White color blocking, this sneaker is made with a mix of recycled fabrics. The Move-To-Zero elements are very lowkey here, with a slightly speckled grind rubber sole and the Move-To-Zero logo printed on the insole. If Nike truly wants to switch to sustainability, the Move-To-Zero campaign needs to continue to offer classic silhouettes like this. It’s the only way to make sustainability the everyday standard.

The Nike Blazer Mid ’77 “Next Nature” will be available soon via Nike.com and at select retailers for $100. Be sure to check back with our Sneaker Release Dates page for more info and updates on the drop.
