Los Angeles-based Union has teamed up with Nike once again and fittingly, put their touch on the Nike Cortez, a staple in Los Angeles. The sneakers share a striped canvas upper in their respective colors, with suede overlays featured throughout the sneaker. The UN/LA tag is seen on the lateral side with the Frontman logo debossed on the heeltab. Lastly, the sneakers share co-branded tongue tags and cork insoles that are co-branded as well. Check out the links and photos to the respective colorways below and keep it locked on our Sneaker Release Dates page for any updates.
Union x Nike Cortez “Sesame”
This sneaker uses a striped canvas upper with tan and red suede overlays throughout. The Swoosh is seen in red suede, with the heeltab featuring the Union Frontman debossed in navy. Co-branding is seen on the tongue and on the cork insoles, with the yellow UN/LA tag seen on the lateral side underneath the lace overlays. A marbled midsole, which we speculate is made of Nike Grind rubber is seen with a rubber overlay on the toe and heel with a beige outsole finishing off the sneaker. The Union x Nike Cortez “Sesame” is set to drop on June 21st via Union’s website for $150 with a SNKRS and select retailers dropping them at a later date.
Union x Nike Cortez “Off-Noir”
This sneaker uses a teal and baby blue canvas upper featured in a striped pattern with black suede overlays throughout. The UN/LA tag is seen on the lateral side with the Union Frontman logo seen on the heel overlay, debossed in neon green. Co-branding is seen on the tongue tag and cork insoles, with the black midsole featuring a speckled pattern which we presume is made of Nike Grind rubber, with a black outsole to finish off the sneaker. The Union x Nike Cortez “Off-Noir” is set to drop on June 21st via Union’s website for $150 with a SNKRS and select retailers dropping them at a later date.
Union x Nike Cortez “Grey”
This pair features pink and yellow canvas with grey suede that comes together to create the shoe’s upper, with the former material making up much of the base layer. Next, we have the signature UN/LA labels on the lateral side by the toe. On the heel, we have Union’s logo, the insoles have an aged look with small chunks missing, and co-branding lands on the cork insoles. Lastly, the pair has a yellow lace dubrae.
Union x Nike Cortez “Beige”
This fourth colorway features purple and red canvas textile on the base with tinted beige suede on the overlays. Additional features are the signature UN/LA labels on the lateral side by the toe. On the heel, we have Union’s logo, the insoles have an aged look with small chunks missing, and co-branding lands on the cork insoles. Lastly, the pair has a red lace dubrae to complete the look.
