Back in 2020, Nike introduced the Dunk Low Disrupt, a wacky revamp of the classic Dunk Low, complete with a chunky off-kilter midsole. Now, Nike debuts the all-new Nike Dunk Low Disrupt 2 “Malachite,” a refined silhouette of the former Disrupt sneaker.
The Nike Dunk Low Disrupt 2 is somewhere in between the classic Dunk Low and the first Disrupt iteration. It’s neither sleek nor chunky, but rather offbeat in its details. The Dunk Low Disrupt 2 slims down the midsole seen on the former edition, but keeps the small hallowed-out detail. The heel counter has an extra layer of suede that slides down to the midsole. The eyestays also have an suede overlay, that’s more decorative than functional. The soles are made with Nike Grind rubber, making these shoes apart of Nike’s “Move-To-Zero” initiative. To complete the look, the sneaker is finished with a small Nike Swoosh that sits just above a stitched silhouette of a larger Nike Swoosh.
