Being one of the faces of Jordan Brand has its perks and Jayson Tatum has countless PEs to account for that. Inspiration for colorways come from anywhere and Tatum got a PE for his love of tacos, which went viral a few years ago and lead to an Air Jordan 34 PE inspired from the moment. No longer a PE, the Taco Jay colorway is now making its way onto the Air Jordan 36 that’s dropping later this month.
The sneaker uses a Citron Pulse upper that is made of leno-weave which makes the upper durable and breathable with the same hue in suede making up the upper half of the sneaker. Green and orange accenting is seen throughout, with Tatum’s Taco logo on the lace pocket and insole. Taco Jay is seen on the heel pulltab with the tongue and tongue pulltab seen in green suede to mimic lettuce on a taco. Citron Pulse is seen again on the midsole with Atomic Green seen on the midsole accents and the Air Jordan 36 uses a Zoom strobel setup with an Atomic Green shank plate and a translucent orange outsole to finish off the sneaker.
