In 1989, Nike introduced the sneaker community to the Nike Air Flight 89. After three decades, the footwear giant is releasing the popular 90s hooping shoe in a clean white and black colorway.

Over the past two years, Nike has dipped into the archives retrieving basketball shoes that dominated the hardwood during the late 80s and early 90s. Thanks to the release of 2020s’ docuseries “The Last Dance,” fans have discovered and rediscovered a love for retro basketball sneakers.

The pair arrives in a predominately all-white leather base with hints of black on the Nike Checks, midsoles, and sock liners. Hues of red and pink appear on the heels and tongues, offering a light contrast against its light backdrop. Visible Nike Air bubbles conclude the design.

Despite limited release details, the Nike Air Flight 89 returns to select retailers and Nike.com for $120. Until then, check out the images below and visit our Sneaker Release Page for more updates on upcoming drops.
