Nike is celebrating Latinos with a Día de los Muertos-inspired footwear collection for Hispanic Heritage Month. The four-shoe collection focuses on the heritage rooted in all Latin countries. In a recent panel at L’Attitude, Nike CEO John Donahoe discussed the importance of Latinos in the sneaker industry and culture.

Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT

The Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT “Somos Familia” arrives in a beige-colored base with hints of orange on the two Swooshes, ankle collars, and sock liners. Highlighting the silhouette are velvet-shaded tongues with green tongue tabs mimicking the colorful paintings from various Latin murals. Noteworthy details include patterns across the uppers, followed by the signature Jordan Wings logo on the lateral side.

The Nike Air Force 1 “Somos Familia” features a mixed construction comprising mesh, suede, and leather. Colorful accents are found throughout including the yellow embellished mid-panels and toe box, the split Swoosh insignias, as well as the butterfly motifs debossed on the lateral heels. Rounding out the final details is the “We Are Familia” and “Somos Familia” are proudly on the insoles and packaging.
