Ripstop Takes Over The Maharishi x Reebok Classic Leather

Last time we saw Maharishi and Reebok get together they were collaborating on the Reebok Classic Legacy AZ to deliver a military-inspired trainer. The new maharishi x Reebok Classic Leather goes for something even stealthier with an all-Black sleek sneaker.

“In England, Classic Leather is known as the OG Reebok shoe and has strong connections within many youth subcultures,” commented Maharishi founder Hardy Blechman.

“Throughout the design process we looked at duality, a concept that is deeply embedded in the Maharishi ethos,” continued Blechman. “Maharishi has always sought to draw out the hidden commonalities of seemingly opposing forces. We’ve translated this idea onto Classic Leather by juxtaposing the matte ripstop with reflective 3M beading around the heel, tongue, and laces.”

Taking notes from the aforementioned Reebok Classic Legacy AZ, this Reebok Classic Leather comes covered in all-Black ripstop. From toe to heel, the sneaker is a shadowy silhouette and nods to Maharishi’s military themes. The signature Reebok Cross-Check is covered in Black ripstop, as well as the Maharishi logo. This sneaker is ready for heavy weather as the ripstop textile protects from the elements.
